It is mainly used for underwater observation, underwater operation, underwater oil well monitoring, underwater scientific research and investigation.

In China, oe14-366 is used in military ARV and key technology of seabed long-term observation network test node in key project of "11th five-year" 863 program, and oe-372 is used in military 1000m ROV.
