the main applications are as follows:
engineering applications: cable/pipeline route survey, cable/pipeline overhaul, high-resolution submarine topography mapping, structural overhaul, oil and gas exploration and foundation/position estimation;
environmental investigation: hazardous waste container survey, dredging river sediment monitoring, environmental assessment, geological mapping, fish resource assessment and seabed resource assessment;
underwater search activities: accident investigation, archaeological investigation and salvage/recovery operations;
Application case: the American science applications international (SAIC) used MacArtney os-1500 ROTV to conduct 80~1500m deep water placement near Block Canyon on the east coast of the United States. The cable route survey was carried out at depths of 200~1500m off the southeast coast of Hawaii. In the Norwegian sea 700~900m depth survey operations were carried out; To support the installation of instrumentation at the Hawaii underwater geological observatory, SAIC used the FOCUS 1500 to carry out high-resolution sounding measurements for identifying the cable route from the shore to the top of the Loihi sea. In addition to helping identify the cable route, SAIC also mapped the submarine topography of the seismic activity location.
